The competition for the teams of 3 was split into two parts, starting with an individual activity before coming together for a team project.
For the individual part of the competition, the Cubs had to design and draw Santa’s house, make a clay model of Santa’s sleigh and complete a collage of a poinsettia flower.
After a short break and clean-up, it was onto the team project. Each team had to make and decorate a Christmas tree made from cardboard tube rings.
The Judges from Basildon Scouts had a very tough job deciding on the winners and this was reflected in the final scores as there were 4 Packs in joint 4th position.
In the end, Orsett and Bulphan Tigers were the victorious team, with 7th Grays Cromwell second and Thameside Orion third.
Many thanks go to Belhus Park, 1st Grays, Hillside and Stifford Dolphins Cub Packs for organising the event.
