The 22 young people each received a framed certificate, gold medallion and lapel pin from the Jack Petchey Foundation to recognise their outstanding achievement. Each winner had previously received £250 that can be spent on something of their choice to benefit their Scouting Section or Group. 3 adults were also present who received the same as the young people to recognise their dedication to Scouting and can apply for a £750 grant from the Foundation.
We were joined by the Mayor Cathy Kent, her consort Steve Liddiard, and Katie Purcell from the Jack Petchey Foundation, as well as District Vice-President David Butcher and his wife Heather.
During the evening each of the award winners had the chance to share their favourite experience from Scouting, which included walking the Cotswold Way, various national camps and expeditions to Switzerland and Australia.
Thanks
